Bagatipara Upazila (Natore district) with an area of 139.37 sq km is surrounded by Natore Sadar upazila on the north, Lalpur upazila on the south, Baraigram upazila on the east and Charghat, Bagha and Puthia upazilas on the west. The soil of the upazila is mainly plain; there are few depressions. 

Main river is Baral. 

Bagatipara (Town) consists of 4 mouzas. The area of the town is 5.59 sq km. The town has a population of 7372; male 61.07%, female 38.93%. The density of population is 1319 per sq km. Literacy rate among the town people is 48.4%. It has one dakbungalow.

Administration Bagatipara thana was established in 1906 and was turned into an upazila in 1983. It consists of four union parishads, 93 mouzas and 141 villages.
