Bhedarganj Upazila (Shariatpur district) with an area of 267.28 sq km, is surrounded by Munsiganj Sadar upazila on the north, Damudya and Gosairhat upazilas on the south, Naria and Shariatpur Sadar upazilas on the west and north and Chandpur Sadar upazila.Meghna river on the east. A tributary of the Padma divided the upazila. 

Main Rivers are Padma, Meghna. 

Bhedarganj (Town) Bhedarganj municipality was established in the 1997. The town consists of 9 wards and 8 mahallas with an area of 2.19 sq km. It has a population of 6844; male 49.30%, female 50.70%. The literacy rate among the town people is 45.5%. The town has one dakbungalow. 

Administration Bhedarganj thana was turned into an upazila in 1983. It consists of 10 union parishads, 87 mouzas and 331 villages. Marks of War of Liberation Mass grave 2. 

Population 207258; male 50.67%, female 49.33%; Muslim 96.71%, Hindu 2.61% and others 0.02%.
