Dharmapasha Upazila (Sunamganj district) with an area of 496.03 sq km, is surrounded by Meghalaya State (India) on the north, Mo0hanganj and Barahatta upazilas on the south, Tahirpur and Jamalganj upazilas on the east, Kalmakanda and Barhatta upazilas on the west. 

Tanguar haor, Rauar Beel, Sialdigha Beel, Sunua haor are notable.

Dharmapasha (Town) consists of one mouza. The town has an area of 3.93 sq km; population 4974; male 52.45%, female 47.55%; density of population is 1266 per sq km. Literacy rate among the town people is 35.9%. It has one dakbungalow.

Administration Dharmapasha thana was established in 1942 and was turned into an upazila in 1983. The upazila consists of 10 union parishads, 182 mouzas and 313 villages.

Archaeological heritage Selbarash Jami Mosque, Kahala and Maheshkhala Kalibari Mandirs. 

Historical events In 1787, the valiant Khasis of Assam attacked Selbarash, Ramdigha and Bangsikunda parganas and brutally killed many people. A devastating earthquake on 12 June 1897 caused heavy loss of lives and property. Nankar Rebellion of Sukhair during 1922-23 is also notable.
