Kaptai Upazila (Rangamati district) with an area of 259 sq km, is surrounded by Rangamati and Kawkhali (Rangamati) upazilas and Kaptai Lake on the north,Rajasthali upazila on the south, Belaichari and Rajasthali upazilas on the east, Rangunia upazila on the west.
Main river is Karnafuli; Kaptai lake is notable.
