Panchhari Upazila (Khagrachari district) with an area of 261.400 sq km, is surrounded by Indian State of Tripura on the north, Khagrachhari Sadar upazila on the south, Dighinala upazila on the east and Matiranga upazila on the west.
Chingri River, Golakpratima Khal and Bhagaban Tila are also notable.
Panchhari (Town) consists of one mouza. It has an area of 82.88 sq km. The town has a population of 11207; male 53.54% and female 46.46%; population density per sq km is 135. Literacy rate among the town people is 33.1%. The town has one dakbungalow.
Administration Panchhari thana was turned into an upazila in 1983. The upazila consists of 4 union parishads, 7 mouzas and 57 villages.
Historical events In accordance with the Chittagong Hill Tracts Peace Accord the Shantibahini surrendered their last arms and ammunitions at Dudukchhara of Logang union of this upazila. The Shantibahini was declared abolished from here.
