Raiganj Upazila (Sirajganj district) with an area of 267.83 sq km, is surrounded by Sherpur (Bogra) and Dhunut upazilas on the north, Ullapara and Kamarkhanda upazilas on the south, Sirajganj Sadar upazila on the east and Tarash upazila on the west.
Main rivers are Bangali, Karatawa and Ichamati.
Raiganj (Town) consists of 2 mouzas. The area of the town is 2.62 sq km. The town has a population of 5468; male 51.41% and female 48.59%. The density of population is 2087 per sq km. Literacy rate among the town people is 36.8%.
Administration Raiganj thana, now an upazila, was established in 1937. The upazila consists of 9 union parishads and 193 mouzas and 269 villages.
